The Right Client- Nominate Recruitment are thrilled to be partnering with a successful Business based in Lisburn.  Due to ongoing growth they are keen to recruit an Operations Manager.

Headquartered in Hong Kong with operations and representation in Australia, Finland, Ireland, Turkey, Spain, Netherlands & UK. They operate a factory based in the UK specialising in the collection and recycling of plastic waste generated from industry and manufacturing. 

Driven to deliver commercial success, the Operations Manager will lead the contracts, logistics and documentation functions in a fast paced, dynamic, commodity trading business. Creating a culture of and achieving operational and customer service excellence.

This role leads the operational execution of trades from the UK and Europe to both domestic and global customers, therefore they require an expert in either distribution, trucking, ocean freight, import/export, freight forwarding or commodity trading.

The Right role:

• Ensure cargo collections are made according to client needs and within budget
• Ensure documentation is processed quickly and accurately
• Anticipate trade risks and proactively protect sensitive trading information
• Guide team members on logistics and trade best practices
• Ensure that key processes are documented and that staff are able to work across different disciplines in the Operations team
• Oversee and drive efficiencies in the full order to cash process including PO/SO (Contracting), cargo booking, documentation, compliance and delivery.
• Set the standards for and deliver customer service excellence, efficient processing of documentation, risk management and quality communication of information
• Work with commercial teams and leaders to develop unique operations solutions that cater to the demands of the market
• Develop and implement operational strategy to meet future commercial goals
• Develop and action the tactical steps required to execute strategic plan
• Engage in constant and active risk management, ensuring systems are in place to support

The Right Fit:

5+ years’ experience in Operations or Logistics Management in a distribution, trucking, ocean freight, import/export, freight forwarding or trading business

• Experience of developing a high-performance team
• Experience of Lean and/or Six sigma process improvement methodologies
• Degree holder or equivalent in Business Administration, Supply Chain, Logistics or Operations Management
