Job Title: Assistant Accountant

Location:  Belfast – Boucher Road

Salary and Benefits: £28k- £32k per annum

Hours of work: 9am-5pm Mon to Fri- can be flexible with start and finish times

Employment Type- Permanent

The Right Client- Nominate Recruitment are thrilled to be partnering with a fantastic company based on Boucher Road who are seeking an Assistant Accountant to join the team.

The Right role:

• Credit control and cash allocation
• Preparation of monthly management accounts
• Monthly variance analyse
• Preparation of VAT returns including TSS, intrastat etc.
• Processing monthly payroll
• Intercompany recharges and reconciliations
• Supporting the purchase ledger team
• Cash management and bank management to include lodgements and reconciliations
• Month end
• Fleet Management
• Support the end of year audit process and deal directly with auditors

The Right Fit:

Ideal candidates will have :

• Qualified Accounting Technician OR Part qualified CIMA / ACCA - candidates should be part qualified
• Candidates who are not part-qualified but can demonstrate the relevant level of qualification by experience will be considered
• Ideally a minimum of 2 years current experience in a fast paced commercial accounting environment
• Ideally experience of assisting with / preparing Management Accounts
• Intermediate Excel skills (experience of VLOOKUPs and PIVOT Tables as a minimum)
• Willingness to drive process change to improve efficiency within the department.
• Strong team player, communication skills and work ethic.
